Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how TikiMiki ("TikiMiki", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TikiMiki service to create and order short videos (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Order & contact details. Your email address, which we use to deliver your finished video and order-related messages.
- Content you provide. Text, photos, logos, and any video files you upload to build your video. Photos are re-encoded in your browser to remove embedded metadata such as GPS and device details before upload. Video files may still contain metadata, so remove anything you do not want processed before uploading.
- Payment information. Card payments and any billing or tax address are collected by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we receive payment, tax, contact, and transaction identifiers needed to fulfill and support the order.
- Usage data. Basic analytics about how the Service is used (for example, which steps people reach), tied to a tab-limited random session identifier. Session and order identifiers are one-way pseudonymized before storage. See "Analytics" below.
- Technical data. Standard server information such as IP address and browser type, used for security and abuse prevention.
How we use your information
- To create, render, and deliver the video you ordered.
- To process payments and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To send you order confirmations, your download link, and support replies.
- To understand and improve the Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We share information only with vendors that help us run the Service, including:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Supabase — database and file storage for your uploads and rendered videos.
- Resend — sending delivery and order emails.
- ElevenLabs — generating optional voice-over audio from the text you provide.
- OpenAI — automated screening of the text you provide for safety and legal compliance (content moderation).
- Sightengine — automated screening of uploaded images for safety and legal compliance (content moderation).
- Sentry — error and performance monitoring to keep the Service reliable.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers (Vercel and Fly.io).
Each of these providers processes your information only to perform its service for us, under its own terms and data-protection commitments.
Content screening
To keep the Service safe and lawful, we may use automated tools to screen uploaded images, sampled frames from videos, and the text you provide (for example, for sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise prohibited content). This screening is used only to decide whether content can be processed, and to comply with our legal obligations.
Analytics
We record simple events (such as selecting a category, completing checkout, or downloading your video) to see where the Service can be improved. These events are tied to a random session identifier rather than your name. The identifier lasts only for the current browser tab. Session, order, and render identifiers are one-way pseudonymized before analytics storage, so the analytics table does not hold the operational identifier itself. We use this data to operate and improve the Service, not to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it.
Data retention
Finished videos and the source files you upload are automatically deleted from our storage roughly 10 days after your video is ready, so please download your video promptly. Uploaded files for orders that are never completed are generally removed within about 2 days. Customer email, user-entered text, upload URLs/file names, and similar support data are generally redacted from our order database after 30 days. We keep limited transaction identifiers, amounts, status, and timestamps longer where needed for accounting, tax, refunds, chargebacks, fraud prevention, or legal/content-safety obligations.
Content or records placed on a restricted safety or legal hold are excluded from normal automated deletion while preservation is required. Access is restricted, and deletion or release requires the documented safety review process.
Legal basis for processing (EU/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information to perform our contract with you (creating and delivering your video), for our legitimate interests (running, securing, and improving the Service and preventing abuse), and to comply with legal obligations (such as accounting and content-safety duties). Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. If you are in the EU/UK you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — and, as noted above, we do not sell your personal information. To make any request, contact us at support@tikimiki.video; we may need to verify your identity before we act.
International transfers
We and our service providers are based in or process data in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed there, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and browser storage needed to make the Service work. Editor drafts, recent order access links, and the random analytics session identifier are kept in browser session storage, which is scoped to the current tab, rather than persistent local storage. Short-lived secure cookies protect the administrator area. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
The Service is intended for adults and requires you to be at least 18 years old (see our Terms). It is not directed to minors, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above.
